L ' Diabetes Association and Young Verona
AGD was founded in 1998 by parents
of children with diabetes in order
promote early diagnosis, treatment
and knowledge of juvenile diabetes,
promote information, education
health, awareness of
Policymakers and health care and solidarity
between families.
In these years the Association has always been run by volunteers caring for and financially supporting the organization's annual field school for training young people to self-control, by arranging the purchase of medical equipment, organizing conferences and information meetings on diabetes and performances and activities aimed at raising funds, by funding scholarships for young doctors as dietitians, psychologists, etc.
